Soapmaking and more...
Meet the maker
Hi, I'm Judith, a wife and mother of three, former molecular biologist and artisan soap maker with a passion for creating small batch handcrafted soap from wonderful natural ingredients. I also love to sew and crochet and have produced a range of accessories crafted from eco-friendly and sustainable natural fibres.
The name of my workshop comes in two parts, reflecting my home in Suisse Romande and the artisan nature of my work alongside my Scottish roots and the focus I have on protecting our precious environment for future generations.

Soap
Soap making makes me happy and I love to create beautiful soaps both in character and appearance. I carefully consider each ingredient that I use throughout the range and I'm easily inspired to find the next perfect combination.
I use 100% natural ingredients that include:
- plant based oils and butters
- natural clays, plant extracts, minerals and plant-derived pigments
- natural perfumes and essential oils
- recycled/recyclable plastic-free labelling and packaging materials
Crochet
I find crochet relaxing and have selected a few beautiful yarns to create some fun and practical accessories. I have focussed on natural fibres, which include recycled cotton, bamboo and a wonderful 100% eucalyptus (when I can get my hands on it) in the range.

I love experimenting and trying new crafts, one of which has been using plant based dye. Many of the natural colourants that I can use in my soap are also used to effectively dye fibres, including indigo, madder and alkanet.
I hope to expand my range with products created from hand dyed yarns and carefully selected fabrics to create a small line of handcrafted garments and accessories. Watch this space...
